How will you fit in the big picture? 

As a Production Supervisor at our West Hershey plant, you will help lead a fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environment that produces some of Hershey’s most iconic products. This is a night shift position supporting a union plant and partnering across production, maintenance, quality, EHS, planning, and engineering to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality results. 

You will manage daily production execution, support financial and staffing plans, and coach hourly team members while helping your area meet schedule, quality, safety, cost, and customer delivery expectations. 

 

What will you do? 

  • Lead and support hourly production teams to meet daily and weekly plant goals while reinforcing safe, quality-focused, and productive work practices. 

  • Coordinate activities across shifts and departments to maintain strong production flow, effective handoffs, labor staffing, and timely issue resolution. 

  • Monitor production data, downtime, scrap trends, throughput, QA documentation, time cards, and other operating results to identify exceptions and improvement opportunities. 

  • Partner with maintenance and reliability teams to submit, prioritize, and follow up on SAP PM notifications, recurring equipment issues, downtime plans, and corrective actions. 

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, employee safety, quality, environmental, administrative, handbook, regulatory, company, and plant standards. 

  • Use problem-solving and continuous improvement practices to address root causes, support trials or process changes, train operators, update documentation, and strengthen area performance. 

  • Build an engaged team by ensuring employees are trained, qualified, motivated, and included in identifying ideas that positively impact West Hershey operations. 

 

Minimum Requirements 

Experience:

  •  3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production operations, or a high-speed, complex environment required. Experience leading or supervising others, food manufacturing experience, SAP experience, and Microsoft Office Suite experience are preferred. 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
