Technician Data Quality

Summary:

This position will provide support to the Digital Quality initiative and developed data systems.   The Technician will work closely with the Quality and Regulatory Compliance (QRC) Data System Business Owners and the Digital Quality leads to maintain data in compliance with established data standards to support system functionality and data reporting.   The incumbent will participate in the development of data management and governance requirements.  They will provide data administration and system support for data systems leveraged to manage food safety and quality data elements of the Quality Management System. The QRC Technician will support the Digital Quality Specialists and project business analyst in data element definition, data build, data management in compliance with standards for Digital System functionality.   Under supervision the technician will maintain basic system background tables and functional elements for system requirements.   The incumbent will also support development and execution of KPIs driven from system data elements.  

 

In addition, the Technician Data Quality responsibilities will include:

Quality Data Management:  Under light supervision work with Business Owners and System Business Analysts to define and enter data for functional elements of Digital Quality Systems.  Work with business to drive consistent data entry, data maintenance and data quality/data integrity in compliance with established data standards.  Advise on data discrepancies.

  • Create and maintain data in compliance with established standards and processes.  
  • Support internal and external COA process, including data entry and data facilitation. 
  • Enter commodity data for approvals and communication through commodity system.
  • Enter residue testing data.
  • Enter outside laboratory testing data, review and / or authorization in LIMS.
  • Maintain basic System Background tables and supporting function elements for QMS systems such as Consumer Complaints, Aravo

System Administration: Under light supervision provide technical system administration for quality management software system(s)

  • Basic system maintenance, troubleshooting and support of defined functionality. 
  • With business SMEs and system / IS partners enhance system function and process.
  • Partner with IS and solution providers to enhance backlog implementation process including change management with users.

Continuous Improvement:  Participate in process/procedure improvement sessions related to refinement of the Digital Quality Systems and elements of Quality Data Management, automation, and reporting. 

  • Continuous Improvement of existing business process leveraging new or existing digital tools. Identify and define requirements to drive process optimization and automation

Identification of opportunities to leverage process automation such as AI/ML

  • Under light supervision support development of Training & Change Management materials for Digital Quality Knowledge build

  • Self-motivated and self-starting.
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in desktop software packages MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams.  Experience with PowerAutomate preferred. 
  • Basic working knowledge of SAP, PowerBi and Digital / Data systems required.
  • Working understanding of programming languages, such as SQL, Python, C#, DAX, or Java
  • Ability to understand information management systems, processes and data flow to support Quality Assurance function.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and evaluate quality and data documentation and management systems.
  • The employee must have good multitasking skills to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Strong document management skills and attention to details
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to organize, schedule, facilitate and drive system and process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Food Safety and Quality requirements a plus   

 

 

Minimum Requirements and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a focus on Information Systems, Data Management and Analytics preferred
  • 0 - 2+ years of related work experience, preferably in CPG, relative to data entry, data system function, data management, and supporting metrics reporting
