Function of Job:

Transport and open packaging materials to the lines from area elevator.  Transport empty skids from the lines to skid holding area. 

 

Duties:

Be attentive throughout all processes for wear and tear of all tools and equipment.  Notify Supervisor and/or QA of any circumstance that may lead to product quality being compromised.

 

Safely manufacture quality product with on-time delivery to our customers as efficiently as possible.

 

Sanitary gloves are required when handling rework or touching a food contact surface.  Gloves may be worn to perform other tasks at the employee’s discretion.

 

 

  1. Inspect the forklift prior to use. Complete and sign the forklift checklist. Observe forklift and Work Saver battery transport to the charging station when battery charge is low. Safely operate Fork truck through employee traffic areas as well as other areas.

 

  1. Check updated production schedule to confirm which item is scheduled to run and the correct packaging components are transported to the line.

 

  1. Check and update SAP system when required

 

  1. Inventory items on production floor and verify packing materials needed.

 

  1. Start placing materials that are left from previous shifts. Priority items first.

 

  1. Unload elevator and supply packaging materials to appropriate production lines and other required location 

 

  1. Remove skids/cardboard and remove from lines.

 

  1. Place full cardboard and banding bin on elevator for transport to recycling (stock feed area).

 

  1. Practice GMP and food safety and always keep work environment safe and clean
