QRC Technician
Summary:
Conduct testing ,verify and validate quality of product produce in the Malaysia plant. This includes participate on cross departmental team (Production, Eng., etc.) in the plant with respect to complex QRC issues (e.g. regulatory changes, product recalls, etc.). Provides support to the manufacturing operations, and conducts audits of internal QA programs and related documentation for the Malaysia plant. This includes responsibility for verifying compliance to procedures pertaining to product safety/quality. This person must keep current in food safety, quality regulations, policy and issues; and provide guidance and support to project activities in the plant.
Responsibilities:
Summary of major duties:
1. Verify production activities to meet quality/safety specifications and regulatory standards.Work with plant personnel to ensure that food processing equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized to meet GMP, Food Safety and allergen requirements. Validates quality processes by ensuring product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
2. To control production processes and ensure its compliance with the laid down specifications.
3. Assisting Sr. QRC Technician & IPQC Specialist in authorize for releasing inprocess and outgoing products.
4. To recommend the quarantining of nonconforming product.
5. To carry out testing on work processes and record all in-process checksheet work carried out set by Senior QRC members to achieve set objectives.
6. Assist IPQC Specialist to handle customers' complaints professionally. Ensure product complaints and product rejects are properly managed and responses are given intimely manner.
7. Assist IPQC Specialist to perform tasks requested on product/process improvement and forward it to the respective party for further action.
8. To participate in 5S, Lean & EHS project/program as per required – simplification, optimization & continuous improvement. To monitor and ensure housekeeping and EHS compliance in lab/workplace.
9. To lead the shift and update the daily production report and issues to IPQC Specialist
10. To participate in any other projects/tasks undertaken by the Company from time to time
11. To assist IPQC Specialist & Sr. QRC Technician when needed and necessary
12. Maintains and improves product quality by completing testing on work processes and record all in-process checksheet work. This person also must have a knowledge on Acceptance quality limit (AQL), for sampling plans that applies for in-process quality checks as part of verification process. Conduct finished goods checks and conforms that the products produced are according to the quality standard and tolerances specification. Able to make decision and judgement to stop the line if food safety or critical quality issue occurs.
13. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and assist in implementation through utilization of PEP program elements such as System Control Plans, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), HACCP, Weight Control and Consumer Complaint Reduction.
Qualification :
1. Technical Certificate or Diploma in food Science or related field or equivalent related experience, pest control background
2. Minimum of 3 yrs (for Certificate) and 1 yr (for Diploma) of related experience. Chocolate/ Confectionary plant working environment will be an added advantage.
