How will you fit in the big picture?
As the Sr Mgr BU Lead, you will lead a business unit within Manufacturing Operations, overseeing teams and large-scale projects or processes with significant operational impact. You will translate strategic short-term plans into consistent execution while advancing safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and continuous improvement. This highly visible role communicates directly with senior leadership and partners across production, maintenance, manufacturing control systems, quality, and environmental health and safety to solve complex challenges and strengthen operational excellence.
What will you do
• Lead and develop multi-disciplinary manufacturing teams responsible for production, repair, and maintenance activities, setting clear priorities and removing barriers to performance.
• Manage major manufacturing projects and processes, coordinating cross-functional resources, mitigating risk, and ensuring new capabilities, system changes, and equipment improvements support operational goals.
• Develop and execute short-term operating plans by evaluating production data, identifying constraints, and deploying actions that improve throughput, workflow, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Champion employee safety and food safety while ensuring adherence to quality, environmental, regulatory, and employee health and safety standards; oversee corrective actions with key partners.
• Lead continuous improvement across production, maintenance, and manufacturing control systems, including root-cause problem solving and disciplined follow-through.
• Prepare and communicate project updates, performance insights, risk assessments, and recommendations that support senior-leadership decisions and resource allocation.
• Coach and develop leaders, build strong employee relations through visible floor leadership, and foster an engaged, high-performing culture.
• Oversee budget preparation and cost controls while balancing service, quality, productivity, and long-term business needs.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: 7+ years of relevant manufacturing or equivalent experience. Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Proven ability to lead through change, motivate diverse teams, and deliver results with urgency.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, project management, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, OSHA standards, budget controls, and ERP tools such as SAP.
