Pay:

  • $24.75/hr

Shifts:

  • Day shift available
  • 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm) - B Crew 
  • Working 3-4 days/week (One week: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat; Next week: Sun, Wed, Thurs). This is a 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off rotation)

Job Summary

The Production Lead is responsible for the training of employees, assisting supervisors, and providing supervision in the absence of a Production Supervisor.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Fills in for supervisors on same or other shifts when they are absent. In that capacity, temporarily assumes all responsibilities of supervisor except disciplinary.
  • Trains to fill in for some or all of other key positions on the shift. eg. Machine Operator, Baker, Packer.
  • Follow all SOPs and SSOPs to keep consistent product quality
  • Fill out all required paperwork accurately and timely
  • Lead and direct the team on the task to be met each day
  • Coach new hourly employees on important aspects of the business (quality, safety, sanitation, productivity)
  • Follow all FDA health and OSHA safety regulations
  • Maintain good attendance and set examples for the team to do the same
  • Setup the line and team for success each day and assist with production line as necessary
  • Achieve production targets
  • Ensure the team is working safely
  • Measure pretzels to go in correct bag sizes and ensure that weights, seals, and box counts are accurate and up to standard
  • Ensure that any equipment malfunction is immediately reported and fixed
  • Ensure the area is clean and sanitized correctly and up to standard at the end of each shift
  • Assist Supervisor in tracking attendance and timely arrival of employees in your work area
  • Perform daily quality inspections throughout the plant in all areas (processing, packaging, shipping, warehouse)
  • Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and management
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in the food industry
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Understanding of OSHA requirements
  • Understanding of safety programs
  • Certified for forklift trucks and stock pickers
  • Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kan Ban, FIFO, Min Max (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Occasionally lift up to/and or move up to 50 pounds
