Associate Insights Manager, EMEA & WTR
Based in London, UK (hybrid)
Summary:
The Associate Insights Manager role sits within the Marketing department and reports to the Director of Marketing, EMEA + WTR. As Associate Insights Manager EMEA & World Travel Retail working at the Hershey company, you will play a key role in the comprehensive ownership of qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to generate insights for brand growth and driving sales performance. In this role, you will benefit from gaining global experience, leading analysis and research for Hershey’s iconic global brands including HERSHEY’s, KISSES, REESE’S and more. Responsibilities include:
General Responsibilities Across Europe, Middle East & WTR:
- Responsible for the overall category insights that will support the commercial teams on key business milestones such as annual/brand planning, business case development and pricing & promotional strategy
- Help set up key growth KPIs based on business objectives
- Bring together multiple sources of data or insights to generate fresh understanding around key business challenges or identify opportunities for future brand or category growth
- Develop annual category and consumer insights learning agenda and thoughtfully manage research budget across different brands/markets while prioritizing stakeholder needs
- Proactively identify consumer, shopper and category trends and needs to influence the overall marketing strategy
- Support innovation function by collaborating to fuel new consumer insight-led ideas and furnish pipelines with concept tests, supporting gate and sell-in decks with insights and strategic rationale, perform innovation tracking and execute post-launch evaluations
- Own agency research partner relationships, maintaining strong ways of working to ensure that research achieves strategic objectives and outputs deliver optimal commercial outcomes
- Provide regular tactical and ad-hoc support in synthesizing or creating reports and presentations when specific needs arise to support internal stakeholders (such as internal meetings and retailer engagements)
- Partner with key stakeholders to get to the core questions to design successful research, ensuring our research is strategically geared to deliver actionable insight
- Match research tools with business needs, leveraging understanding of the consumer, shopper, and category landscape and providing recommendations on approach to deliver against project objectives
- Develop research briefs and establish frameworks/approaches
EU & MEA Specific Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly analysis of sales, including, category/franchise trends, new launch activity results, promotional programming
- Support team with deep dives on Seasonal business
- Work closely with brand / commercial team to ensure brand activity is delivering for the company and retailer partners
- Deliver monthly updates for UK, Germany and MEA markets covering Category, Competitor and Hsy performance, present findings in S&M meeting and prepare relevant summary for MBR deck
- Provide team with regular consumer insights (for example brand health, household penetration, etc)
WTR Specific Responsibilities:
Build and maintain regular reporting suite (including but not limited to: Airport Sell-Out Panel, Hershey Sell-Out Database, Customer Dashboards, Airport PAX, Airport SOP, Shopper Behaviour), uncovering key insights and translate findings into actionable insights for the team
Set KPIs and synthesize learnings and insights to key stakeholders from Airport Retail Audits

- Planning: Responsible for the overall category insights that will support the commercial team, developing annual category and consumer research insights plan and budget, identifying and setting KPIs and identifying consumer trends to influence the overall marketing strategy
- Category Insights: Deliver regular reporting suite at agreed upon cadence, support with seasonal and innovation insights, validate if in-market activity is delivering, deliver ad-hoc research as needed
- Consumer Insights: Provide team with regular consumer and shopper insights and support on innovation launches and post evaluation
Supporting the MEA Business:
- Planning: Responsible for the overall category insights that will support the commercial team, developing annual category and consumer research insights plan and budget, identifying and setting KPIs and identifying consumer trends to influence the overall marketing strategy
- Category Insights: Deliver monthly updates, support with seasonal and innovation insights, validate if in-market activity is delivering
- Consumer Insights: Provide team with regular consumer insights and support on innovation launches and post evaluation
Supporting the WTR Business:
- Planning: Responsible for the overall category insights that will support the commercial team, developing annual category and consumer research insights plan and budget, identifying and setting KPIs and identifying consumer trends to influence the overall marketing strategy
- Category Insights: Deliver monthly updates, support with seasonal and innovation insights, validate if in-market activity is delivering

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: • Bachelors Degree in Business
Experience: • At least 5+ years of insights experience in research agency and/or insights function in FMCG or similarly disciplined industry
