Assoc. Marketing Manager – Europe (Based in London, UK)

 

Summary:

 

As Assoc. Europe Marketing Manager working at the company, you will play a key role in executing the plans in a timely and efficient way. Working in Brand Management means being more than just a marketer, it means being a brand guardian. You will drive impact across iconic national brands, identifying consumer, shopper, and customer insights and executing marketing plans that will grow your brand and set it up for future success.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Summary of major duties

 

Brand Marketing and Business Planning UK and GERMANY

 

Drive the development and execution of brand building initiatives including promotions and advertising

 

Budgeting: be responsible for ensuring Hershey Europe is tracking to aligned DME allocation for the budget year, updating budget phasing monthly

 

Creative, PR & Partnerships: seamless execution of strategy with creative agencies, across always-on initiatives, seasonal activations, and brand collaboration

 

Portfolio: support manager in additions to the UK/Europe portfolio mix including leading process of bringing US Extensions, artwork changes, local innovations.

 

Works closely with key cross functional partners to ensure brand strategies drive intricately linked sales strategies and communications and e-Commerce

 

Co-ownership of key meetings, sharing marketing input for 1) Sales & Marketing (UK/GER/Rest of Europe), 2) Status meetings with agencies and 3) EU Marketing Connects (internal smaller team connects)

 

Media Planning and Creative Execution

 

Lead relationships with the media agency, ensuring seamless execution of media and influencer plans, well integrated with creative agency partners for 360 activations

 

Define media KPIs, track methodologies and implement course correction based on learnings

 

Refine Reporting standards to understand efficiency / effectiveness of media plans including key take-outs from MMM (Marketing Mix Modelling)

 

Stay abreast with the competitor landscape, conducting quarterly competitive report with agency and presenting key take-outs in EU marketing connects/Sales & Marketing sessions

 

Support in the deployment of the brand day (annual planning), owning media planning input for full year deployment – including briefing agency, refining response, sharing feedback, and locking channel mix based on brief budget and defined KPI’s.

 

Business Analysis and Realization

 

Insights: build consumer and customer insight-driven brand marketing programs under the supervision of his or her manager

 

Works closely with Insights lead, he or she will conduct in-depth analysis of market (category), consumer and customer analysis to derive data-driven indicated actions to guide the brand marketing plan development and optimization. This will mean being proficient in IRI and Nielsen

 

Identifies effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly (BHT, Copy testing, Brand Lift studies)

 

Personal Development & People Management

 

Be responsible and committed for the training and development plan for him/herself and his/her team.

 

Develop strong cross-functional relationships internally and with agency partner

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Education:

Bachelors Degree

 

 

Experience

1.  At least 4-6 years working experience in brand management within FMCG.

 

Language Skills

 

  • English: Proficient oral and written English communications (skillful business memo writing, business presentations, and daily communication with English-speaking peers and external partners)

 

Computer Skills

 

Skillful usage of Microsoft Office softwares in business documents development and presentation, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; IRI/Circana and Nielsen (bonus)
