Role Title: Sr Manager, Global Procurement - Oils
Location: Zug, Switzerland
Summary of major duties:
Own Category Sourcing Strategy To Drive Growth and Strategic Advantage
Responsible for the development, implementation and performance of the Oils Category Sourcing Strategy, to:
- Source requirements across Hershey and BFY brands that meet current and future business needs across Sustainable, Reliable and Affordable;
- Manage the assessment, selection and development of strategic suppliers to meet requirements and performance kpis;
- Ensure appropriate agreements and contracts are in place, to provide the necessary safeguards, and manages against these contracts;
- Research developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capabilities, and supply/demand challenges.
Financial Delivery and Price Risk Management
Develop risk management strategies through the use of forward contracts, futures & derivative tools that ensure price visibility in alignment with the company’s business plans. Report market conditions/trends to leadership as needed as well as relevant market information to other functional areas such as QRC, R&D, Plant Ops, Manufacturing Alliances.
Supply Continuity and Continuous Improvement
Set out a long-term roadmap to ensure: Sourcing flexibility, Substitution opportunities and Feedstock flexibility. Ensure appropriate Business Continuity Plans are in place.
Establish a strong network and lead the collaboration with Supply Chain , R&D, and other appropriate departments to:
- Continuous improvement (i.e., cost savings, quality improvements, alternate supplier qualifications, supplier diversity)
- Working capital improvement
- Identify and lead innovation sourcing.
Operational Excellence
Lead supplier relationships, drive supplier performance, monitor financial viability and work with relevant procurement colleagues to minimize supply disruptions to our plants, perform root cause analysis and develop/monitor supplier improvement plans.

Education:
Masters Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related field of study, or equivalent, required.
Experience:
- Min 10 years experience in CPG supply chain function
- Proven procurement category management capability
- Thought leader with an implementation and results oriented mindset
- Knowledge of varied and complex supply markets and commodity sectors, including one or more vegetable oils or oilseeds
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities – ability to lead progressively more complex and higher-spend cross-functional teams through a variety of issues
- Ability to review, comprehend and negotiate with impact, complex purchase agreements/contracts.
- Build and maintain strategic alliances and other high level contractual relationships.
- Demonstrated skills and expertise in supply chain management.
- Ability to analyze and screen suppliers for financial, supply, and service capabilities.
- Solid personal presence with the ability to interact with confidence and credibility at all levels of the organization.
- Track record of building effective, long term relationships
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts, misunderstandings and problems with suppliers in a manner that produces fair and timely resolution of issues.
