Category Associate Analyst
Work Setup: Hybrid
Location: Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
Summary:
Supports the Category Management engagement team by executing specific planogram direction for various store types within a designated market according to specifications provided by Category Management team/retailers in an accurate and timely manner.
Supports the same engagement team on reporting and analytics requirements of stakeholders.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Category Management
- Build Precision Planograms for key retailers (i.e Walmart, Walgreens, and Target) using JDA software
- Apply shopper insights into the planogram logic
- Work with customer and IRI/Nielsen point of sale data (consumption)
- Where applicable use customer loyalty data (Market Basket)
- Assist Category Strategy Insights consultants in JDA inquiries using the standardized FAQs dashboard (helpdesk support)
- The role will influence and support the customers through pervasive use of insights and capabilities.
Insights and Analytics Reporting
- Work with syndicated (e.g. IRI, Nielsen) and POS data.
- Identify and recommend potential growth opportunities for the category and Hershey
- Utilize the hypothesis driven workflow to solve business problems
- Provide insights and analysis to support the customers/Hershey’s analytical plan
- Leverage statistical analysis to understand key drivers of product success or failure
- Ensure Data Accuracy. Data quality is essential to the role, with 100% QA expectation rate
- Ensure Timely Delivery. Tight timelines are a part of this job, with priorities being placed on each report in a cycle
Account Management
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with CatMan teams.
- Work collaboratively with CatMan teams to modify requests/reports that are timely, actionable & accurate.
- Responsible for timely updates, reporting to customers, identifying issues, analyzing issue root causes and leading the resolution of those issues.
Key Performance Indicator/ Metrics/ Service Level Agreement
- Shall ensure that set KPIs/ Metrics/ SLAs are met and reported on a timely manner

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
- Technical Ability: Knowledge in JDA software is a plus
- Proficient in Excel and Access: Ability to quickly learn and assess viability of other analytic tools
- Prioritization: Must be able to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting or ambiguous priorities, extended work schedules, and short time constraints

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Must be a graduate of BS Marketing, Business Administration, or IT
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in Category Management or Merchandise experience in retail or consumer goods company
- At least 1 year of experience in data analytics
- Knowledgeable in category management process (8-step) and category reviews
- Knowledge in JDA or Spaceman software is a plus
- Experience with IRI /Nielsen or other syndicated data solutions
- Prior experience in positions requiring strong analytical acumen preferred
- Prior experience working in multiple functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Strategy, etc.) highly desirable
- Prior experience working with external customers (retailers) desirable
- Amenable to a shifting schedule of morning or mid shift
