Market Research Lead Analyst - CPG

  1. Lead GBS Manila’s Business/Applied Intelligence team, its operations and overall development
  2. Develop opportunities with existing and potential stakeholders in relation to analytics and insights
  3. Serve as the subject matter expert in analytics and reporting capabilities which includes training and knowledge management


Major Duties/Responsibilities:


Consultative Stakeholder Management / Project Management

  • Engage with stakeholders in AEMEA and NA to discuss and develop analytics and reporting solutions
  • Build and maintain relationship with stakeholders through regular discussions to tackle operational challenges, areas for improvement and other aspects that influence operations
  • Develop, lead and monitor intakes in collaboration with Process Optimization


Operations Management

  • Maintain and drive SLA’s and KPI’s achievement by ensuring quality, timeliness and resources are balanced by regularly engaging with the team and stakeholders
  • Work with team members and stakeholders in delivering sound reports/reporting solutions and insights by modelling ways of working and methodologies
  • Conduct regular review of workflows and processes to determine areas to improve or reinvent in line with GBS’ CI mandate


People Management and Talent Development

  • Coach and train associates to further build their expertise and capabilities in relation to analytics, insights and category management, among others
  • Conduct regular discussions on career and development plans to ensure talents’ motivations complement their responsibilities
  • Develop talents with strong potential for expansion and leadership


Subject Matter Expert

  • Lead the development of capabilities and expertise on analytics, insights and reporting with Sales Services and the rest of GBS Manila
  • Ensures updated and timely education of assigned stakeholders
  • Can determine frequency by which knowledge materials need to be updated, determine content and design training materials, based on future trends and strategies, as well as execute training of such
  • Act as the “go to” person for questions and concerns within his/her area of expertise

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

  • People management and talent development (analytics and insights)
  • Operations management
  • Consultative stakeholder management
  • Project management
  • Proficient in Excel and other analytical tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL. Ability to quickly learn and assess viability of other analytic tools.
  • Ability to integrate and correlate data (quantitative and qualitative) for insights and analysis
  • Prioritization: must be able to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting or ambiguous priorities, extended work schedules, and short time constraints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills



Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:


Education: Must be a graduate of Bachelor’s Degree required, Marketing or Business Administration, Business Analytics. Postgraduate degree in Business, Economics, Analytics is desirable



  • At least 5 years direct experience in Retail Measurement and Household panel on a Market Research firm managing Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, or Vices accounts.
  • Experience in leading and developing people in the field of analytics and insights
  • Experience in market research / commercial consulting
  • Immersion in various syndicated data / tracks such as Nielsen, Kantar, IRI, Ipsos highly desirable
  • Project Management experience is required
  • Capable of using and applying analytical and reporting tools as required by the business and stakeholders
  • PowerBI and SQL
  • Plus: Tableau, Python/R, Power Automate
  • Highly desirable: Alteryx
  • Prior experience in positions requiring strong analytical acumen preferred
  • Prior experience working in multiple functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Strategy, etc.) highly desirable
  • Prior experience working with external customers (retailers) desirable
  • Candidate must be amenable to a Mid Shift work schedule (2pm – 11pm) with highly competitive night premiums.

Kindly note that we are all still working from home with no foreseeable plans to go back to onsite work within the year.
