HR Analyst – Organizational Management – 1A


Role Summary: 


The HR Analyst Organizational Management is responsible for the management of transactions in Successfactors Employee Central and SAP HR for Organization Management (OM).   The position may collaborate with all levels of management globally to maintain timely and accurate updates to the Company organization structure which has a direct impact on all Hershey systems including financials.   Interaction with the HR Business Partners, GBS HR international team members, cost center managers, and HR Center of Excellence (COE) team members at various levels up to and including VP level is required.  The position works with highly confidential information. 


Knowledge of Successfactors Employee Central and the SAP OM system and the SAP HR Personnel Administration system, data relationships, cause-and-effect relationships, all inter-related HR processes and procedures, and understanding of potential impact to employee personal data and benefits is essential.



Major Duties and Responsibilities:


Successfactors Employee Central and SAP HR Organizational Management System Administration:

  • Timely and accurate data entry into Successfactors Employee Central and SAP HR
  • Create and maintain positions and organizational units
  • Administer vacancy management and position management
  • Assist with reorganization processes
  • Create and maintain all hierarchy and reporting relationships for org units
  • Ensure Employee Central data has replicated successfully to SAP HR


Continuous Improvement:

  • Recommend process and procedure changes related to OM
  • Partner with Information Services team on SAP data replication
  • Utilize data and insights to improve OM
  • Identify/implement cost saving opportunities
  • Identify, evaluate and implement process changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of OM


Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Create and utilize reports to ensure accuracy of data
  • Support internal and external requests for information related to work events, position management, reorganizations 



Special Projects:

  • Participate on special projects including design, development and testing of enhancements to systems, including Successfactors Employee Central and SAP
  • Integration of data to and from SAP HR as a result of acquisitions or divestitures or other special events.



Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: 



  • Functional HR knowledge base required with firm understanding of HR processes and data, especially as related to HR systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system and data issues
  • Knowledge of system reporting tools such as Successfactors and SAP ad hoc query
  • Proficiency with common desktop tools including MS Outlook, Excel and Access
  • Ability to learn new computer applications and adapt to a changing environment

Education: Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent




  • At least 2-3 years total work experience as SuccessFactors or SAP – User Experience.
  • Must have a firm understanding of HR processes and data, especially as related to HR systems – SuccessFactors, SAP or any HR system.
  • Must have experience in System Maintenance.
  • Must have experience in troubleshooting system and data issues.
  • Must be proficient with common desktop tools including MS Outlook, Excel and Access
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to learn new computer applications and adapt to a changing environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong business partnering experience with stakeholders.
  • Must be adaptable to changes.
  • Must be amenable to work on night shift
