IS Project Manager - AEMEA and India

Summary:

 

The person in this role is accountable for leading and managing full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through to deployment and acceptance. The IS Project Manager would be responsible for their successful completion.

Primarily managing medium/complex projects using a mixture of different IT solutions, aligned with Hershey Standards and Methodologies. The primary function of this role is to lead operational and strategic projects for Hershey’s International teams, including but not limited to HR, Finance, Commercial, Digital Commerce, Supply Chain, Business Intelligence and Analytics.

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Project Management

  • Take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation, and satisfactory completion of medium-large-complex scale projects.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, controlling, and reporting activities for International projects.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team.
  • Adopt and adapt project management methods and tools.
  • Ensure effective project monitoring and control processes, change control, risk/issues management and quality processes are employed and maintained.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation aligned with standard Hershey PMO Methodology.
  • Lead in identifying overall project budgets and subsequently monitor and control costs, timelines, quality, and resources used. Must take action when performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
  • Collate project plans, work packages and presentations in support of project progress communication.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques

 

Business Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with International IS and business leaders to assess, document, and prioritize the needs of the business units, focused on addressing the major capability gaps and/or IS opportunities.
  • Able to articulate and align to the IS International governance and strategy, while delivering to the international business.
  • Liaise with Global IS teams to implement and support cost-effective technology solutions.

  • Collaborate on building and establishing the PMO Governance for IS International

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar. Master’s degree or advanced certification is highly preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience leading the end to end project management of medium to large-complex scale IS projects/solutions that involve driving cross-functional teams, business units, external vendors and resources.  
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in leading the end to end project management of large complex scale IS projects/solutions with at least 10 project participants.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in directly managing the analysis and identification of appropriate budgets and cost for project led.  
  • Must have experience in implementing agile and waterfall project methodologies for large corporations. Strong Preference provided to candidates with Agile Methodology certification.
  • Must have experience in using any Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Tools. Strong preference given to candidates with experience in Clarity PPM tool
  • Strong preference given to candidates with experience leading multi-country IS Project Management and Implementation
  • Candidates must possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to support interaction with different levels of stakeholders.
  • Proven track record collaborating effectively with business teams and IT organization, translating requirements into a project plan and roadmap.
  • Proven problem-solving, creative solutions ideation,  and decision making capability to address project issues and risks.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects, competing priorities and adeptly re-prioritize based on changing needs.

    • PMP / Agile Certification
    • Experience with Clarity PPM and Rally
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods and/or retail industry is an advantage.
  • Amenable to a mid-shift schedule of (3pm – 12 mn) and must be willing to have flexibility on shift schedule depending on the need of the business. (NOTE: The role is open to a remote work set-up where you would only need to report to our 6750 Ayala Ave., office on a need basis).
