Instructional Designer
Job Summary:
This role would be part of our Human Resource Shared Services Team. This individual will work with Hershey stakeholders to design, develop training materials and implement learning programs for Hershey Online Learning Management System The role requires adherence to established learning standards, corporate visual standards, and will be required to produce learning objects and instructionally sound programs through various technology-based tools.
Role Responsibilities:

Engages with project sponsor/stakeholders to ensure proper development of learning solutions to answer business needs, including conducting necessary research to support development process.

Develops and implements design documentation for learning projects using the best modality for the adult learners, including e-learning, blended, instructor led training, and performance support materials.

Designs, develops, and authors appropriate business process and systems training programs including instructor led/asynchronous and blended e-learning courses.

Project manages the development of assigned learning projects.

Creates, publishes, tests, and troubleshoots, and maintains e-learning and simulations (including advanced actions/quizzing) for web-based delivery.

Produces and maintains training support materials including workbooks, job aids, quick reference guides and online help using department tools, templates, and standards.

Work with vendors to vet viability of and implementation of external learning programs as it relates to Hershey Company's standards.

Maintain and administer items in learning management system

Coordinates production and translation of training materials and assists with associated deployment/rollout activities.

Works collaboratively with instructional designer, subject matter experts (SMEs) and team members to derive training content

Works with other Hershey learning professionals to leverage current technology and anticipate industry trends & online best practices
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Development, Graphic Design or related fields, or equivalent 3 - 5 years of work experience in related field

Master's degree in Instructional Design/Technology or other Education related field preferred.
Technical Skills:
-
Experienced application of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) to include needs assessment and/or performance consulting, objective design and sequencing, and measurement plans

Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, learning styles, learner needs, delivery of Web-based and multimedia content

Understand the agile methodology and have experience in creating learning content using agile approaches such as rapid learning content and agile learning design.

Experience as a classroom facilitator

Ability to use technology to create compelling and communicative graphics & content

Audacity or similar audio recording application

Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver)

Experience with WebEx Virtual, Adobe Virtual, or other live virtual classroom tools

Proficiency with MS Office 365 Suite including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Multimedia, video production and editing
