Project Management Lead - Transition Services

Summary:  


As a member of the Service Delivery organization, the Project Lead in Transition Services plays a pivotal role in managing the seamless transition of processes and services to the Service Delivery organization. This global role collaborates with Business Unit stakeholders, Leadership, Service Delivery Leaders, and Global Process Owners (GPO) to execute transitioning scope within the global Service Delivery network, based on the strategic vision of the enterprise end-to-end process roadmap.

  • Lead the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of transitions, enabling the organization to meet its strategic objectives and operational efficiency goals. 2
  • Ensure seamless and efficient transitions, coordinating various teams, resources, and activities while minimizing disruption to business operations. 1
  • Become familiar with the overall vision and GPO strategic roadmap, providing day-to-day direction and leadership to project teams of internal staff, external consulting partners, and business unit representatives

In accomplishing the above services, the HBP Project Lead will be required to learn and understand the HBP strategy and vision.  The Project Lead will be responsible for fulfilling core process optimization duties throughout the entire project lifecycle including:  

  • Stakeholder management
  • Resource estimation and allocation
  • Schedule development, monitoring, and execution
  • Budget planning, monitoring, and execution
  • Quality management including risk and issue management.
  • Change management

The HBP Project Lead will be an active member of Hershey’s Business Platforms and will support project management  across the HBP Delivery Service business. 

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Project Management

  • Project Planning and Execution: A project manager is responsible for defining the project scope, developing a project plan, and ensuring that the project is executed according to the plan.
  • Leadership: A project manager provides leadership and direction to the project team, motivates team members, removes roadblocks, and coaches the team to do their best work.
  • Stakeholder management: A project manager is responsible for managing the expectations of all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management.
  • Risk management: A project manager is responsible for identifying and managing risks that could impact the project's success.
  • Resource management: A project manager is responsible for ensuring that the project has the necessary resources, including team members, tools, and budget, to be completed successfully.
  • Quality management: A project manager is responsible for ensuring that the project deliverables meet the required quality standards.

These are just some of the major responsibilities of a project management role. A successful project manager must have strong organizational, communication, and decision making capabilities

 

Communication, Reporting & Relationship Building

  • Communicate clear and consistent messages, relying upon data and facts to advocate a position and overcome objections. 
  • Supports the business through frameworks and consultation to develop problem statements and user stories, connecting to customers. Acts as advocate to connect the dots between requirements discussion and prioritization, constructively challenging projects wants vs needs and problem statements.
  • Provide regular communication updates regarding the Process Optimization program and active projects to the Steering Committee/Management and cross-functional teams regarding projects status, recommendations, and needs.
  • Deliver metrics to monitor and assess current performance levels, drive identification of process re-engineering and improvement ideas. Conducts analysis and set up reports, dashboard, and operational structure to support as needed.  
  • Updates and maintains playbooks, guides, and process documentation as it relates to process evolution, technology, and governance.
  • Understand individual needs, soliciting their input, empowering them to achieve breakthrough results, holding individuals accountable for own actions, and recognizing individual contributions and achievements.  

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: 

  • Minimum 4 years’ proven experience in successfully delivering high quality solutions in high pressure, structured environments using standard project management techniques and disciplines.
  • Required: Advanced Project Management Methodologies: Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Scrum.
  • Required: Proven experience managing multiple projects/areas of responsibility simultaneously.
  • Required: Story telling for influence: Ability to liaise with senior level external supplier and internal stakeholder representatives in a rational and measured manner to communicate progress, issues, risks, and solutions.
  • Required: Experience engaging with cross functional teams.
  • Required: Proven experience driving results and driving quality deliverables.
  • Required: High-energy, self-starter, able to be a team builder and change agent.
  • Preference: Minimum of 3 Functional Areas of expertise in Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Sales
  • Preference: Advanced Continuous Improvement methodologies: Six Sigma, Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Design Thinking
  • Preference: PMP and Green Belt training required.
  • Preference: Experience in talent development and resource allocation.
  • Work Arrangement: Remote BUT must be willing to report to our 6750 Ayala Ave Makati office as needed by business.

 

 

Education/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Engineering
