Position Title: Officer - QRC

 

Role Overview:

 

Microbiology Lab Management | Microbiology Program Execution  | Ingredients & Product Testing  & Analysis 

 

Accountabilities:

 

Top 5 Core Responsibilities / Outcomes Expected

 

  1. Lead and oversee all microbiological laboratory activities. Manage  day to day tasks like Online Sampling, Analysis of Ingredients, Semifinished products & Finished products. Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results.
  2. Implement and supervise environmental microbial monitoring programs. Conduct personnel hygiene monitoring for food handlers.
  3. Maintain and update microbiology laboratory management system documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. Prepare reports for audits, inspections, and management reviews.
  4. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for microbiological issues. Drive continuous improvement in microbiological controls and food safety practices.
  5. Coordinate with internal teams, other sites, and third-party customers regarding samples, testing, and reporting. Act as the primary point of contact for microbiological queries and updates.
  6. Lead internal audit programs focused on hygiene, sanitation, and microbiological controls. Organize and deliver employee training sessions on food safety, hygiene, and microbiological practices.

Qualifications:


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


Sound knowledge on Microbiology and trouble shoot microbiological issues. 
Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Extensive knowledge of ISO management systems and have experience in their application in an FMCG environment. 

 

Experience & Education

 

  1. Graduate/ Post graduate Degree qualifications in Microbiology or a related discipline are preferred.
  2. At least 4-5 years of experience in handling microbiology analysis of chocolates / beverages/ Aseptic packaging foods and primarily in Quality & Food Safety domain.
