Shifts

We ask that you are flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Primary Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Schedule assignment upon hire is determined by plant needs.

The The Hershey Company Memphis Plant is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Storeroom Clerk to support our Technical Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, issuing, shipping, returning, and delivering storeroom goods and parts while supporting inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. You will partner with maintenance planners, technicians, vendors, and internal customers to ensure timely availability of parts and supplies needed to support plant operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all safety instructions and procedures.
• Receive, stock, and coordinate delivery of storeroom goods and parts.
• Unload delivery trucks manually or using electric forklifts and hand trucks.
• Inspect incoming materials to verify condition and quantities, resolving discrepancies as necessary.
• Ship and return storeroom goods and parts.
• Issue stocked items and support ordering of non-stock materials.
• Issue and track shared tools.
• Perform cycle counts and support inventory control processes.
• Coordinate with vendors and regional ordering centers.
• Maintain storeroom equipment and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Support maintenance planners and technicians with spare parts kit building.
• Train employees on storeroom processes and procedures as needed.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and training activities.
• Ensure the storeroom remains secure at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.  
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must have computer skills including data entry, email, and Microsoft Word/Excel applications.
• Must be able to work independently on routine assignments.
• Must be able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and work at heights.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in an inventory-controlled environment.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems such as SAP.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical machine components.
• Experience in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting maintenance and storeroom operations.

Physical Demands

• Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and work at elevated heights. [Storeroom...rk Memphis | Word]
• Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs. [Storeroom...rk Memphis | Word]
• Must be able to push and pull several hundred pounds using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and similar equipment.
• Regular use of computer systems and inventory management tools.

Work Environment

• Work is performed within a manufacturing and storeroom environment.
• Exposure to warehouse traffic, maintenance equipment, and inventory storage areas.
• Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA, GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality standards.
• Must maintain compliance with all plant safety, food safety, and quality requirement
