Summary
In summary, The Supply Chain Analyst, WTR Americas and Europe role is responsible for both demand planning and Customer Supply chain for the designated geography. The Supply Chain Analyst, WTR Americas and Europe role is responsible for working with customers and Sales leads to deliver 12 month -18 month high quality forecast, playing roles in coordinating with plant for production and delivering.
Lead any joint-value-creation projects in supply chain to customers in conjunction with any cost-saving ideas, and optimization of the flows of supply and information.
The Supply Chain Analyst, WTR Americas and Europe role is also responsible for the development, ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the Customer Supply, logistics, clearance, and product replenishment management. The Supply Chain Analyst, WTR Americas and Europe role assumes primary ownership of the forecast on APO and is accountable for driving improvement of all production and dispatch related performance metrics. The Supply Chain Analyst, WTR Americas and Europe role will facilitate a collaborative approach by working closely with customers, BDMs, sales, supply planner, global business services team. He/She will ensure that updated and accurate information is used to develop production plans, dispatch plans, shipping lines booking, and documentation to drive the appropriate activities throughout the supply chain. This position is essential to the achievement of key corporate sales and operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis and Insights
Provide necessary analysis & insights to continuously driving process & Forecast improvement:
• Analyze historical sales data and future while working cross-functionally to achieve continuous improvement in the accuracy of demand forecasts.
• Monitor Distributor Supply Chain Metrics (In-Country Sales delivery (ICS), Customer Service Levels, Inventory and Forecast Accuracy), determine root cause analysis of variances, communicate results & develop/implement action plans for improving the forecast accuracy and reducing bias.
• Work with sales and marketing to derive impact of competitive activity, and trade/consumer promotional plans, and review assumptions represented in the demand plan, and analyze the impact on the forecast of each data point (timing, incremental volume, total volume, cannibalization rates, initiatives, etc).
• Coordinate with Customer Supply counterpart on supply plans (vis-a-vis demand outlook), and work with customers to integrate any supply constraints to the plans, clearing communicating the changes to all stakeholders.
• Provide input to support monthly IBM Demand meetings by providing verified insights into forecast changes & growth rates.
• Be able to explain forecast performance measures and results on request.
Perform essential tasks to support the WTR Americas business. Prepare meeting materials for monthly WTR demand sign off meeting and facilitate the weekly WTR GS update meeting.
-Track WMAPE and Bias to update the regional supply chain team as well as commercial and distributors
-Container utilization to be maintained at 95% for Focus markets and 75 % for smaller markets.
-Case Fill Rate to be maintained at 98 %
-On Time Delivery – Ensure all orders of Europe are delivered on time and the target is at 95 %
- Update APO with Monthly product forecasting /updating in conjunction with WTR Americas customers. This applies to products sourced from all Manufacturing Units globally supplying WTR.
- Update APO settings, such as consumption horizon corresponding to sailing lead-time of individual markets and preferred forecast indicator by selecting right indicator for WTR Americas customers by source
- Check daily alerts to make sure that correct forecast is flowing to GSR (Supply)
- Update all settings for any new sku or change in item codes, including CVC creation
Deliver GS
- Deliver monthly, Quarterly, and yearly GS for the WTR Americas as per Stretch Plan
- Work with GBS team to ensure orders are invoiced as planned
- Any movement in invoicing to be updated to the team using GBS weekly reports and monitor the accuracy of reports sent out by the GBS team
- Provide monthly closing numbers to GBS and the team from GFR
- Keep distributors informed of any product cut and GS gap
Planning tools (APO) key user for forecast uploading, generating statistical forecast. Work with global demand team to keep optimizing the planning tool.
Work with Marketing and OBI teams to develop preliminary sales projection. Perform new item set up and forecast creation for demand planning.
Closely work with supply planners to understand production situation, inventory level and product aging issues. Be able to back up the supply planner. Participate in supply review meetings, communicate with Sales and Marketing about innovations progress.
Write off Charges (DDD)
-Check and approve packaging and raw material write off charges related to discontinuation or replacement of items
-Closely monitor aging report and take immediate action to reduce DDD charges.
-Work with sales team for opportunities for any aging stock
-In case of excess stock, co-ordinate with Supply Planner for possibility of re-packing it for US market or work with DDD team for liquidation plans.
Seasonal Items management
-Share seasonal forecast timeline with distributors regularly and ensure that distributors update forecast and orders within the given timeline. Ensure orders fall in the right week.
-For any un-forecasted seasonal orders, check with supply planners for possibility to support without cutting other customer’s forecast
-Track aging stock and find out options to liquidate it with sales support
Minimum knowledge and skills
Specific Knowledge
• Fluency in English (both oral & written). Fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Proficient in understanding of fundamental business management and supply chain principles and concepts.
• Business Acumen: In depth understanding of FMCG industry.
• Capacity to work within multiple internal and external information systems including, but not limited to, SAP APO, and customer-specific systems.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Exposure to S&OP/IBM and other internal and external collaborative processes. Should have been responsible or closely involved in IBM/S&OP process.

Education
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business administration, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a quantitative business science preferred, but not a MUST. Master’s degree / Supply Chain Management Diploma / APICS certification are a plus.
Experience
Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in supply chain related roles; prior demand planning experience preferred.
