Associate Manager, eCommerce Merchandising

Job Location: Mississauga, Ontario

 

 

Summary:

The Associate Manager, eCommerce Merchandising is directly responsible for supporting the success of our high-priority, high-growth Omnichannel business. The role has a significant impact on our revenue, profit, market share and household penetration goals within this focus channel.

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Omnichannel Retail Media execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of retail media at WalMart, LCL, Sobey’s, Instacart, Costco, DoorDash, UberEats, etc
  • Owns the planning and execution of each Omni account’s merchandising / marketing / promotional / content plans – plans are crafted in collaboration with Brand Marketing, Shopper Marketing and Sales teams, as well as liaising with US and International counterparts

 

Content development and management

  • Develop and syndicate the content necessary to win in the Digital space (Creative, Ratings and Reviews, Product Information)
  • Co-owns relationship with content development / creative agencies to create relevant, ‘Thumb stopping’ content
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure catalog accuracy, new product set up, and such

 

Digital shelf intelligence

  • Use available data & insights to provide sound merchandising / marketing / promotional / product optimization recommendations
  • Establish business reporting / KPI’s to ensure progress against objectives and communicates campaign results back to the organization
  • Conduct competitive monitoring on customer platforms to ensure Hershey has strongest online merchandising SOV presence.  Capture and share back learnings to Customer and cross-functional teams

 

Budget tracking and maintenance

  • Owns the revenue/spend plans for all accounts
  • Manages Digital-specific budget and forecasting processes

 

 

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

 

  • Knowledge of eCommerce merchandising and digital marketing required
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate high impact initiatives
  • Previous account/customer management experience
  • Perform as a highly-motivated team player with ability to effectively drive cross-functional communication and cooperation, with the ability to exhibit high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Proven ability to translate insights into sound merchandising / marketing / promotional / product optimization recommendations
  • Excellent organizational skills.  Must be able to multitask, prioritize, work under pressure & meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude and high level of energy

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

 Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred, but not required.

 

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience managing a digital/eCommerce business
  • Previous account/customer management experience
  • CPG background preferred
