Position Summary:
As a driving force within Hershey Canada’s sales team, the CSE will lead initiatives to profitably grow the business. As a part of the Better-For-You Snacks team, you will manage a direct report and mentor the team to achieve the assigned objective/plan, including gross sales, net sales, market share, and profit contribution.
What will you do:
- Coach and develop direct report to ensure they delivery on business objectives
- Manage key retail customers with a focus on growth
- Develop annual Business Plans focused on listing new products, achieving permanent distribution and developing & executing a comprehensive promotional calendar
- Assess data and translate into an impactful selling story in support of customer & Hershey ambitions
- Forecast sales and set targets and develop 1-3 year growth plans
- Work cross functionally to develop and deliver high impact sales presentations to a growth customer
- Manage customer promotional and merchandising strategy
- Coordinate with marketing teams and cross functional partners to ensure new business opportunities are aligned with Hershey brand strategies
What We Need:
- Experience:
- 5+ year’s progressive sales experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods or related capacity
- Loblaws and Walmart experience an asset
- Previous snack food category experience an asset
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Technical Skills:
- Above average knowledge of Microsoft office software (PowerPoint and Excel mandatory)
- Above average knowledge of AC Nielsen with ability to analyze and interpret data
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to effectively forecast supply requirement in a dynamic environment
- Ability to translate data and strategy into a selling story
- Sound knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape
- Sales presentation skills; Written and verbal communication skills
- Customer relationship management skills & experience
- Entrepreneurial spirit; Forward thinking and ability to challenge the status quo
- Persuasive negotiation skills
