Financial Analyst (12-month contract)

Principle Accountabilities:
 

• The Financial Analyst will report into the Commercial Finance Manager and provide financial leadership to the Hershey Canada portfolio  
• This business-critical role will provide analytics and insights that support the delivery of Hershey Canada’s strategic imperatives.
• The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen, collaboration and analysis skills. Additionally, the successful candidate will be comfortable mining data and possess a passion for using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and various software applications (Power BI, SAP)
• The successful candidate will work with all levels of the Hershey Canada organization to understand current results, future expectations, and the business drivers that provide opportunities and/or risks to the division. This position is an important business partner and well positioned to lead thinking on how to drive the business.

Planning and Analysis

• Will support annual and long-range financial plans for the chocolate & sweets portfolio
• Provide insights on emerging trends and identify short and long term risks and opportunities.
• Analyze the structural economics of our strategic brands and develop actionable and sustainable profit improvement plans.
• Revenue Management analysis which includes the development of performance guardrails, price/mix/promotional strategies and waste optimization plans.
• Will drive transparency by developing sustainable reports and tools that will assist your cross functional business partners in making profitable business decisions.
• Brilliant execution of ad-hoc analysis.

ERP implementation

• Will help support the implementation of S/4 HANA. This can include partnering with the commercial finance manager on testing, data validation, training and reporting.

Business Partnership

• Will lead, embrace and have a passion for process improvement and implement action plans collaboratively with your business partners.  

Systems

• Will become a Power BI expert and leverage Hershey systems to develop insights and solutions to complex business problems.

• Ability to independently analyze, interpret and integrate multiple data sources, identify issues/opportunities and implement solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects that are cross functional in scope.
• A proactive self-starter who challenges the status quo and seeks to continuously improve
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Fluency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are critical

Education Requirements: 

• Undergraduate business degree

Experience Requirements:

• Entry level (0-3 years’ experience)
