Future Opportunities Intern Field Sales (Winter 2024)

The Field Sales Intern will work with all levels of the Hershey Canada Field Sales organization to understand current results, future expectations, and the business drivers that proactively provide opportunities and/or risks to the division. The Sales department is an indispensable partner of the business teams, well positioned to lead thinking on how to drive the business. You will gain an understanding of the multi-faceted areas in Sales that are required to support a leading consumer packaged goods (CPG) company.  This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization while gaining hands-on experience in the field of sales and business analysis. 

 

What will you do? 

  • Retail Field Audits, cleansing Salesforce Database, and car stock analysis reports.  

  • Work collaboratively with the retail Operations team to develop ad hoc reports for the Field sales team focusing on efficiency of territories and class of trade . 

  • Territory relief for vacationing TSL/TSA’s in the Toronto GTA market. 

  • Support Seasonal Merchandising 

  • Utilize reporting and other information tools to conduct detailed analysis and provided actionable recommendations for Key Customer Teams on an ad hoc, project, and routine basis. 

  • Produce weekly reports as directed to provide key data to Hershey Sales Management to ensure accurate, streamlined and complete communication of business results and progress. 

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Enrolled in a business program at post-secondary institution. 

  • Valid drivers’ license and good standing driving record. 

  • Access to a personal vehicle in sound operating condition; mileage rates will be paid. 

  • Travel will be limited to greater Toronto area. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment. 

  • Sound strategic thinking and planning.   

  • Analytical, creative and curious with the ability to problem solve with a diverse group of team members. 

  • Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization. 

  • Takes initiative in pursuing objectives and ensuring deadlines are met.  

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) - Excel skills a definite asset
