Future Opportunities Intern Marketing - Canada (Winter 2024)

Duration: Winter 2024 (January - April 2024)
The marketing team is seeking several interns to join the Hershey Canada team. You will gain an understanding of the multi-faceted areas in Marketing that are required to support a leading consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization during your work term and to gain hands-on experience in the field of consumer marketing.

Seasons Marketing Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day to day execution of business priorities
- Participate in the development and execution of consumer advertising, promotional programs, product and packaging development, sales tools and marketing research
- Analyze business results (category, season, brand, manufacturer) and make recommendations
- Support the commercialization of new products and packaging initiatives
- Work closely in cross functional teams with all key departments within Hershey
- Have exposures to all aspects of the business, round out general management skillset in addition to marketing fundamentals
- Occasional retail store checks to assess in-season execution
- Opportunity for exposure to the Hershey Canada Leadership Team

Brand Marketing Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and execution of consumer advertising, promotional programs, product and packaging development, sales tools and marketing research
- Coordinate effectively with agency partners and internal creative teams
- Deep dive into Consumer research for your business and identifying insights to drive into future executions/briefs
- Develop analytical skills - analyzing business results leveraging Nielsen & other data sources
- Work closely in cross functional teams with all key departments within Hershey
- Assist in the day-to-day execution of business priorities
- Gain experience in all aspects of the business, round out general management skillset in addition to marketing fundamentals
- Opportunity for exposure to the Hershey Canada Leadership Team
Minimum Requirements
- You are Enrolled in a business / marketing program at post-secondary institution
- You can spot and seize opportunities, while ensuring deadlines are met. You don’t just stop there you drive the solution to the end - even if it’s outside your responsibilities.
- You have demonstrated leadership ability by creating authentic relationships with other functions to discuss challenges and incorporate their perspective, creating a mutually beneficial solution.
- You own and organize your processes neatly from end-to-end. You know how to get the job done while creating the future.
- You can look at an analytical dashboard and gain insights without breaking into a cold sweat. You recognize when there’s enough analysis and discussion and you jump into action.
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Previous exposure to financial statements an asset
