We have an exciting opportunity for a talented HR Generalist to join our Hershey Canada team based in Mississauga, ON with a hybrid set up. We’re looking for a remarkable person who will have the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. This individual must be a self-starter with a client-first attitude. 

 

Position Summary:

The HR Manager’s role is to build the leadership capability, organizational capability and culture that enables Hershey Canada to achieve its objectives. This is accomplished by focusing on the delivery of core HR programs and processes, executing new organizational development projects and providing coaching and advice to leaders.  Additionally, the HR Manager will engage in employee relations efforts by investigating potential violations of company policy. The HR Manager will leverage data and insights to identify opportunities and initiate new initiatives by assessing needs, translating the needs into requirements for the right solutions, and working with the HR Leader to prioritize potential projects. 

 


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to be successful

 

  • Ability to partner, influence and affect direction and organizational outcomes in a positive way
  • Communicates clear and consistent messages with poise and integrity, relying upon data and facts to advocate a position and overcome objection
  • Consults and contracts to manage client expectations, stakeholder needs and partner deliverables
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose organizational issues and lead change
  • Analyze data using proven methods and generates insights to improve the organization
  • Ability to Initiate change by building a data-driven case, overcomes significant resistance to change, and sustains intended outcomes through the application of proven tools and frameworks
  • Ability to design and manage holistic, integrated, talent solutions that optimize individual knowledge, skills, and experiences and build desired organizational capabilities 
  • Ability to leverage information technology and lean processes to communicate effectively, operate efficiently and connect employees
  • Examines and integrates existing systems, programs, and practices into streamlined and effective processes
  • Continuously reviews and improves processes to reduce cycle time, increase output and improve quality

 

Education:  

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (a concentration in Human Resources preferred)
  • CHRP/CHRL also an asset

 

Experience:  5-7 + plus years’ experience performing in a variety of HR roles with strong generalist experience.

•    Analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement
•    Leading the performance management and talent management process
•    Training groups of employees/leaders
•    Creating compelling employment offers
•    Coaching/advising leaders
•    Creating change plans and managing human capital projects
•    Positively influencing company leadership
•    Conducting investigations into potential violations of company policy
•    Handling sensitive Employee Relations matters
•    Leading mergers & acquisition due diligence and/or integration activities
