How will you fit in the big picture? 

The Revenue Management Intern will be focused on developing insights on pricing & promotional drivers for our key growth channels.  The Revenue Management department is a function within Finance, but is an indispensable partner to the entire business, well positioned to lead thinking on how to drive the business forward. Originating in the hotel & airline industry, Revenue Management is gaining popularity in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry and is frequently cited as a key pillar to achieving long-term growth.

 

What will you do?

  • Be a core member of project teams throughout your internship, solving problems that have true impact to the Hershey business in Canada
  • Learn about the Hershey organization and the dynamics of a leading a high performing CPG company
  • Be coached by an experienced finance manager, who is committed to your success
  • Be accountable for shaping the organization’s strategic approach to key sales channels by working on:
    • Systems: Will become the resident expert in new datasets and responsible for organizing them to drive actionable decision making.
    • Performance Analysis: Will conduct various analysis to identify key business drivers per sales channel. Findings will be presented to members of the Hershey Canada leadership team.
    • Strategic Planning:  Will support development of strategic initiatives (i.e. pricing, promotions, mix management, pack architecture, etc.) and new ways of working.
    • Financial Reporting: Will develop sustainable reporting and tools that will assist our cross functional teams to assess financial performance (sales, profit, trade)

 

Minimum Requirement

  • You are enrolled in a business program at post-secondary institution
  • You think like a business owner. You connect the dots and recognize how business decisions impact the organization. 
  • You walk the walk when it comes to agility. You collaborate cross-functionally and work well under pressure.
  • You spot and seize opportunities. You take initiative to drive the solution to the end, even if it’s outside your core responsibilities. You ensure deadlines are met in the process.
  • You are Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • You can look at an analytical dashboard and gain insights without breaking into a cold sweat. You thrive in turning data into strategic recommendations. Bonus points if you can design and deploy dashboards that deliver new insights or capabilities!
