How will you fit in the big picture?

The Senior Director Marketing Canada is accountable for defining and executing the Canadian marketing strategy to drive deep consumer connection, brand equity, category leadership, and profitable growth. This role leads insight driven innovation and integrated marketing execution to compete effectively, challenge the status quo, and win in a complex & dynamic marketplace. This position balances global frameworks with local Canadian consumer and customer needs, partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain, and builds a high performing marketing organization capable of delivering sustained impact and P/L delivery.

 

What will you do?

  • Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership: Define and execute Canadian brand and category strategies that build equity, drive differentiation, and deliver sustained growth.
  • Consumer & Insight Led Innovation: Leverage consumer, shopper, and category insights to drive innovation, seasonal programs, and market relevant launches with strong ROI.
  • Integrated Marketing Execution: Lead end to end integrated campaigns across media, digital, POS, and shopper marketing, balancing global frameworks with local execution.
  • Commercial & Cross Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to align marketing priorities with customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • People & Organizational Leadership: Build, coach, and develop a high performing marketing team, fostering accountability, agility, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Business & Investment Scale: Lead marketing strategy for one of the company’s largest and most complex international markets, with significant marketing investment and ROI accountability.
  • Brand & Portfolio Complexity: Oversee a broad, multi brand and category portfolio, balancing global brand frameworks with localized Canadian execution.
  • Organizational Leadership: Lead a multi-disciplinary marketing organization, building strong succession pipelines and enterprise ready capabilities.
  • Enterprise Influence: Serve as a key strategic partner to Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Canada LT, shaping integrated commercial strategies.
  • Strategic Growth & Transformation: Own the innovation, seasonal, and growth agenda while driving marketing agility and effectiveness in a mature, competitive market.

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated analytical capability with the ability to develop scenarios, anticipate future trends, and make timely, well-informed recommendations.
  • Effective communicator and listener with the ability to influence decision making and align stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and lead teams to deliver results.
  • Sound business acumen and a winning mindset, supported by a strong understanding of customers and the commercial landscape.
  • Clear and compelling communicator (written and verbal) who motivates action and drives outcomes through confident, directive leadership.
  • Results oriented, innovative problem solver who inspires commitment and collaboration from others.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Experience: 15+ years’ experience in marketing, preferably CPG with some international experience
