Job Description:
Are you a strong leader who can energize and motivate a sales team to achieve excellent business results?
This role requires an inspirational leader that embodies Hershey Canada’s core values and beliefs. You will be responsible for managing a team of 4 Full Time Territory Sales Leaders, & 8 Part Time Territory Sales Merchandisers. Responsibilities include directing, coaching and managing individuals’ performance to effectively execute sales goals related to distribution, promotional activity and quality merchandising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the recruiting and on-boarding process, performance management, and effectively administering “in-field” coaching to team of sales representatives.
- Communicate monthly results with a focus on sales force effectiveness/productivity while incorporating various monthly priorities by channel.
- Operate within the Company policies and procedures and within the established selling expense guidelines.
- The Associate Regional Sales Leader will consistently demonstrate Hershey’s core behaviours: Be Real, Push to Prioritize, Decide & Act and Anticipate Change
Skills, Knowledge and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 3-5 years progressive sales experience
- Good communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
- Drive for results - Entrepreneurial mindset with creativity and a positive attitude
- Highly motivated with excellent problem solving and negotiation skill
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence at various levels
- Drive, determination and passion for consistent results
- Ability to maximize performance through motivational coaching techniques
- High degree of initiative with customer focus
- Good record of performance and attendance
- Proficient in MS suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and familiar with IPAD Technology
- Must maintain valid Canadian driver's license, passport, and good standing driving record.
- Willingness to travel within the region four days per week (approx. 50% travel time)
- Territory will be 401W/QEW area (Mississauga, Brampton, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Brantford, St Catharines, Niagara)
