Job Overview

This role supervises food quality and safety activities to ensure products meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and consumer expectations. The role leads frontline teams executing quality control, food safety monitoring, and compliance activities within a defined operational area. Scope focuses on daily execution, issue resolution, and consistent application of food quality and safety standards to protect consumers and the business.

Accountabilities

1. Food Quality and Safety Execution Oversight Supervises daily food quality and safety activities across assigned operations. Ensures quality checks, monitoring, and documentation are completed accurately and on schedule. Addresses routine quality or safety issues to maintain compliance and product integrity.
2. Compliance Monitoring and Issue Resolution Monitors adherence to food safety regulations, internal standards, and procedures. Investigates quality or food safety deviations to identify root causes within defined processes. Implements corrective actions and escalates issues that require additional review or authority.
3. Team Supervision and Work Coordination Supervises frontline quality and safety employees executing inspections, testing, and monitoring activities. Assigns work, sets priorities, and provides guidance to ensure consistent execution. Supports employee development through coaching and on the job instruction.
4. Documentation and Audit Support Ensures accurate completion and maintenance of quality and food safety records. Prepares documentation required for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews. Supports audit activities by coordinating responses and corrective actions within the assigned area.
5. Continuous Improvement and Risk Awareness Identifies recurring quality or food safety issues and trends within operations. Supports improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, processes, and compliance. Promotes awareness of food safety risks and reinforces adherence to established standards.
