Job Overview

This role provides foundational skilled trades support across manufacturing and utility systems, performing routine installation, maintenance, and repair tasks under close supervision. They follow established procedures to complete basic technical work such as inspections, measurements, and adjustments. The role focuses on developing familiarity with production equipment, tools, and safety practices. They communicate primarily within their team, supporting daily operations by completing assigned tasks accurately. This level builds the core technical skills required- for progression in Manufacturing Technical Trades.

Accountabilities

1. Perform Routine Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Tasks The S10 employee follows detailed instructions to support basic installation, maintenance, and repair steps on manufacturing and utility equipment. They complete assigned portions of work such as cleaning components, tightening fasteners, and performing simple adjustments. This ensures equipment upkeep and supports safe, reliable operations.
2. Conduct Basic Equipment Inspections They perform visual checks, simple measurements, and basic condition assessments on assigned equipment. Findings are noted and immediately reported to senior technicians for further evaluation. These early checks support detection of issues and help maintain equipment readiness.
3. Assist Technicians With Higher-Level Tasks The S10 employee prepares tools, parts, and materials and supports work setups for more complex tasks performed by senior team members. They follow direction closely and observe proper technical methods while assisting. This builds foundational understanding of skilled-trades activities.
4. Maintain Work Areas, Tools, and Materials They clean, organize, and maintain tools, workspaces, and parts areas according to defined procedures. Proper handling and storage support safe working conditions and ensure materials are available when needed. These activities contribute to efficient daily operations.
5. Follow All Safety and Quality Procedures The S10 employee adheres to safety rules, PPE requirements, and basic quality protocols. They immediately report safety concerns or deviations from standard procedures. This ensures safe execution of work and supports compliance with operational standards.
