How will you fit in the big picture?

The Senior HRIS Specialist plays a critical role in the management, optimization, and continuous improvement of HR technology solutions. This role is responsible for supporting key annual processes (including Open Enrollment), managing HR system integrations, and providing system administration across HR platforms. The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders - including HR, HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Benefits, Payroll, IS, and external vendors - to deliver scalable, secure, and well-governed HRIS solutions that support business needs.

What will you do?

HRIS & Annual Process Support

  • Act as a liaison between key stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support end-to-end system delivery for various processes including the planning, configuration, testing, validation, and go-live readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.

HR Systems Integrations & Platform Administration

  • Support integrations between the core HRIS system, vendors and downstream systems.
  • Partner with IS and vendors to design, test, monitor, and troubleshoot data feeds and interfaces.
  • Ensure integrations and system configurations meet data governance, security, and compliance requirements, including audit readiness and access controls.
  • Serve as a system administrator across various platforms, including configuration, user access management, role-based permissions, and ongoing system maintenance.
  • Manage system updates, enhancements, and releases, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and user guidance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement automation, system enhancements, and process improvements across HR platforms.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to retrospectives and forward-looking planning.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Support additional HRIS initiatives across various processes (e.g., Year-End activities such as Open Enrollment) as needed.

Minimum Education & Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HRIS experience.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Experience supporting HR system integrations, file feeds, and vendor interfaces.
  • Proven ability to manage complex timelines, multiple stakeholders, and time-sensitive deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience administering or supporting HR technology platforms.
  • Experience working with HR technology vendors and managing integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including validating large data sets and performing reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated success driving process improvement, automation, and system optimization.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Gemini, Claude) to improve efficiency and decision-making
  • Familiarity with creating or utilizing AI agents is a plus
