Specialist RGM Traditional Trade

 

Summary

The SRGM Specialist will support the development of customer investment strategy and tactical trade promotion optimization recommendations for TT Sales teams supporting Hershey’s Mexico customers bases.  The Analyst will also support SRGM Pricing and Trade leads in the creation and implementation of enhanced promotional strategies for Hershey’s Mexico portfolio.  This will require strong collaboration with other functions including Sales, Marketing, Category Management, Finance, and Analytics & Insights. This is an exciting opportunity to build a core competency in support of Hershey’s ambition to create a best-in-class, Strategic Revenue Growth Management function.

This position requires personal leadership, initiative, cross-functional teamwork, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and strong customer/channel knowledge and business acumen.

 

Responsibilities

  • Executes complex and comprehensive analyses to support the development of national and/or channel-level promotion and price strategies that deliver on Mexico portfolio/brand business objectives (e.g., share vs. profit, innovation, mix improvement)
  • Evaluate Mexico promotional events for Clubs & WHS. Analyze and understand insights from market in order to recommend deeper channel/customer-specific initiatives.
  • Works directly with Mexico TT Sales teams and Sales Finance to build optimized, event-level promotional plans during the annual Sales planning process, and to conduct quarterly in-year reviews of promotion effectiveness vs. Plans
  • Define, align and propose annual price Increase strategy among packtypes and across channels. And build price routes by item in each class of trade.
  • Assists in the development, management, and execution of performance management processes, including standardized KPI reporting for planning and business review purposes

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Very strong technical skills (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint), with proven ability to synthesize multiple data sources (e.g., internal Planex and P&L data, 3rd party syndicated data) to develop insights and strategy recommendations
  • Strong analytical skills and business / financial acumen / stadistics

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously

  • Strong knowledge of syndicated data (e.g. IRI, Nielsen, Iscam) and its nuances

 

Education

BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Equivalent

 

Experience

1+ years of business experience preferred, with strong preference for multiple years of experience in FMCG analytical role(s)
