Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Brand Manager to lead and grow our Chocolate Category. As the Senior Brand Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand growth, consumer engagement, and market share for our 3 top chocolate brands: Hershey’s, Kisses and Reese’s. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, sales, and finance to deliver innovative solutions in a highly competitive market.

 

Key Responsabilities for this role:

-Define a compelling long-term strategy to drive brand differentiation and shape the chocolate category in Mexico thru Hershey, Kisses and Reese’s chocolate brands.

-It is an empowered function with broad marketing and consumer understanding.

-Act as the first point of contact for the Hershey’s Chocolate brand and co-brands.

 

  1. Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of the brand’s long-term vision and positioning strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and consumer trends.
  2. Brand Positioning: Manage and enhance the brand equity of the chocolate portfolio (Hershey’s, Kisses and Reese’s) by overseeing brand positioning, messaging, and campaign execution across all channels (digital, in-store, media, etc.) to strengthen brand awareness and market share.
  3. Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and risks. Regularly track brand performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  4. Product Development: Collaborate with the R&D and product teams to drive pipeline renovation from ideation through to launch.
  5. Partnering with Innovation Manager: to define future Portfolio aligned with Brand Strategy and Brand Architecture.
  6. P&L Management: Own the P&L for the chocolate category, managing budgets and ensuring profitability. Drive volume, revenue, and profitability targets.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of strategies. Work closely with media and creative agencies to deliver world-class marketing campaigns.
  8. Consumer Engagement: Design and execute consumer engagement programs that build strong relationships with target audiences. Leverage digital and social platforms to enhance consumer experience and loyalty.
  9. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the team. Lead with a collaborative and high-performance mindset.

 

Summary of major duties:

-Assure global brand strategy alignment and justify differences for local needs when needed.

-Fully leading participation in the IBM process: demand review, portfolio review. Closely track execution: sell in, sell thru, sell out and market share dynamics.

-Monitor performance and share critical results, risks and opportunities.

-Lead strategic omni-channel local brand planning for Hershey’s brand and co-brands

-Ongoing brand & core portfolio process review, monitoring and take action on progress.

-Lead cross-functional team for state-of-the-art execution.

-Interact with insights & innovation to understand current and future initiatives that can impact Portfolio evolution

-Manage advertising agency, fully integrating the HSY brand voice across markets and the omni-channel.

-Promote DME synergies.

-Team development.

 

Education: Bachelors Degree in Marketing. Post graduation/MBA desirable.

 

Experience: Progression of successful accomplishments at levels of marketing management that lead to Marketing Manager to include typically at least 8 to 10 years as Brand Manager/Marketing Manager.

-The experience should be consistent with the particular marketing, branding & comms, portfolio renovation planning and setup. In general, experience in the top-tier consumer products marketing and retail companies is expected. 

-The ideal candidate will have general-market analysis experience, experience doing strategy & brand equity work and experience on lead the action plans.

-Proven track record of leading successful brand strategies, product launches, and marketing campaigns.

-Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility.

-Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

-Passion for consumer insights, innovation, and brand building.

-Analytical mindset, with proficiency in market analysis tools and techniques.

-Data inspired: experience working with consumer insights data, Nielsen and/or other syndicated data

-Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

-Knowledge of digital marketing trends and experience with e-commerce strategies is a plus

-Strong verbal and written communicator to wide breadth of audiences including senior stakeholder management

-Able to travel 10-15%

-Must be fluent in Spanish and English
