Utilities / Facilities Capital Project Manager

Summary:
The Hershey Company Robinson plant is a non-union plant producing products such as PayDay, Heath, Skor, Milk Duds, Whoppers & Reese’s Pieces in a high-speed complex environment.
Reporting to the Tech Assurance Manager, the Project Manager will assist Staff & Principal project managers responsible for initiating and executing capital projects of varying complexity, delivering the capital plan on time and within budget. The Project Manager will be responsible to learn how to promote and implement the use of technology and developing solutions to solve complex engineering problems that meet the company's current and/or future business needs. The successful candidate must be able to display a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail. The candidate will be responsible to model leadership and develop the ability to provide instruction to engineers, plant staffs, technical resources, contractors, and others within the Supply Chain. Candidate will be responsible to learn and understand all phases of large projects or programs, from project development through close-out.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of all phases of a capital project from project development thru project close out.
- Provide technical direction to project teams that leads to the development of sound engineering alternatives and recommendations.
- Apply the Performance Driven Projects process during the development of capital projects.
- Develop the business case, technical feasibility, and plan for customer (plant) acceptance.
- This role will interact and partner with: Technical and professional employees within Global R&D and Tech Center Operations, Plant Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, EHS and Quality Assurance, Other Corporate Engineering functions (Process, Electrical, Packaging, Civil, Utilities), Quality and Regulatory Compliance, Environmental, Health, & Safety, Procurement, Marketing, Operations Business Development, External Vendors & Contractors

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- B.S. Preferred (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil / Structural, or Electrical Engineering)
- M.S Preferred (Engr/Science/Business)
- PMP Certification Preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing multiple capital projects between $100,000 - $1 million required
