Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Location: Granby, Quebec & St-Hyacinth, Quebec
Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist, Canada Plants, will lead recruitment for the hourly and salaried positions at our Granby and St. Hyacinth plants. The selected candidate will be required to travel between the two plants on a hybrid basis.
The TA Specialist will be responsible for high volume, full-cycle recruiting, including candidate pipeline development, sourcing and assessment of candidates, ensuring a top-notch candidate experience, and offer development. The TA Specialist will utilize recruitment technology including applicant tracking systems, candidate resource management database, interview technology, and social platforms and will also oversee the offer and pre-employment process for Manufacturing.
This role will be responsible for regular reporting to the business, weekly scorecards, and ongoing diverse pipeline development, and can grow to support additional corporate functions.
Reporting/Scorecards
- Own weekly scorecard and reporting process to share current recruitment status and keep business leaders informed on progress and challenges.
- Share recruitment trends and proactively identify opportunities for improvement with leaders.
- Develop consolidated process for tracking campus grads through the contingent offer process.
Sourcing/Recruitment
- Gain expert knowledge of Hershey Talent Acquisition Policies and Procedures
- Ensures timely update of Applicant Tracking System (Success Factors) data throughout the recruitment process to guarantee accurate reporting data and active management of candidate and hiring manager expectations.
- Works with plant manager and labor scheduling on hiring needs for hourly and skilled trade hiring
- Coordinates onsite interviews for hourly open roles for both plants
- Works with Manager, EEO on reporting needs for specified business unit up to and including assistance with OFCCP audits as it pertains to area of responsibility.
- Responsible for executing approved sourcing strategies to generate a diverse pool of on-target candidates who are interested and qualified.
- Build robust talent pipeline contacting prospects to generate interest in career opportunities and developing ongoing professional relationships with candidates
- Initiates telephone and email conversations with candidates who have not expressed an interest in The Hershey Company to present career opportunities, network and sell Hershey’s employee value proposition.
- Stay abreast of new tools, websites, and strategies for effective sourcing; tracks and monitors effectiveness of sourcing strategies.
- Actively monitors and builds a presence on professional social networking sites, user groups, and blogs to capture active and passive talent.
- Lead recruitment projects focused on identifying and attracting a diverse pool of candidates for various roles within the organization.
Pre-Employment Process
- Oversee pre-employment process (background, drug screen, pre-boarding) and ensure hires are processed in a timely manner
- Conduct Interviews, deliver offers and onboard candidates
- Partner with legal team to make decisions on questionable results for pre-employment.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
- Knowledge of a variety of sourcing tools, e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed Resume, Career Builder, Monster Resume, social media, etc.
- Ability to effectively interact with various levels within the organization and externally within the market
- Knowledge of recruitment strategies for high volume environments.
- Knowledge of human resources including legal and regulatory compliance
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years relevant experience in recruiting, preferably within manufacturing or high-volume recruitment
- 1-3 years HR experience
- Bilingual in French and English Required
