How will you fit in the big picture?
What will you do?
- Manage occupational injuries and illnesses through assessment, treatment coordination, case management, follow-up, and return-to-work planning.
- Partner with employees, healthcare providers, claims administrators, and site leadership to ensure timely and effective claims management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Support and administer medical surveillance programs including hearing conservation, respiratory protection, periodic physicals, and other occupational health initiatives.
- Facilitate post-offer health assessments, drug and alcohol testing programs, and other occupational health services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners on accommodations, disability management, absence management, and interactive processes.
- Drive employee health and wellness programs by connecting employees to resources and promoting holistic wellbeing.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality, regulatory compliance, employee experience, and operational effectiveness.
Minimum Education & Requirements
Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant occupational health, industrial nursing, case management, or employee health experience.
- Experience managing workplace injuries, return-to-work programs, workers' compensation claims, and employee health initiatives preferred.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to occupational health programs.
Education:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Occupational health nursing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- COHN or COHN-S certification, or willingness to obtain certification, preferred.
- Certifications in audiometry, spirometry, and drug/alcohol testing are a plus.
