Mgr Continuous Improvement

Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager will help create a zero-loss culture within our manufacturing network by developing and implementing process improvements and building operator capabilities in a continuous improvement environment. This leader will drive process, system, and operational improvements that are integral to facilitating our Hershey Lean vision. A core function of the role will be implementing Redzone and Hershey Lean and all standards associated with them.
The CI Manager will implement tracking processes and maintain the loss data on the lines to ensure top losses are addressed. The loss data collected will enable the development of our 7-lever diagnostic tool, designed to create a CI Plan to meet the savings targets for the organization. Implementation of CI projects from ideation to execution is a core responsibility of the role.
In addition, the CI Manager:
- Drive daily problem-solving and data-driven planning as the problem-solving leader for targeted manufacturing operations
- Coach the Plant Leadership team on executing standards using daily management systems through Redzone and S4
- Develop and implement process improvements from leveraging diagnostics to ideation through to process improvements and capital projects
- Assist in financial valuation for CI pipeline items, capital projects, new item costing, etc.
- Establish training programs for front-line operators for Hershey Lean standards
Skills and Experience:
- Strong leadership skills in leading teams of people
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must have demonstrated strong change management skills
- Able to develop action plans based on problems identified on the floor
- Works independently and takes ownership of driving improvements
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Experienced in data collection and analysis
- Preferred experience with Redzone, PowerApps, Power BI, S4, O365 tools, etc.
- Drive alignment of KS Hub Hershey Salty Snack sites, CI processes, and projects
Minimum Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 to 7 Years’ experience in an automated manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and TPM is preferred
- Previous experience in developing training programs is preferred
