Summary
The Intercompany (IC) COE Analyst reports to the Mgr., IC COE and supports the Hershey Business Platform’s mission to leverage resources on a global scale through the use of shared services to reduce costs, maintain or increase customer service, and build new capabilities.
This position is primarily responsible for supporting interim intercompany accounting, reporting and related systems, executing month-end intercompany accounting and reporting procedures, , and various tasks and procedures in the areas of intercompany accounting and reporting; transfer pricing condition data maintenance; and others.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
◼ Participate in the interim intercompany business process workstream between Hershey entities on SAP S/4 HANA and SAP PRD/ARP until the global SAP S/4 HANA go-live
• Maintain intercompany transfer pricing master data conditions
• Maintain interim intercompany info records and conditions for materials bought and sold
• Track the completion of product movements from end to end by communicating with supply planning, customer service, transportation, global trade, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury
• Identify and lead the correction of product movements that have overages, shortages, or damages while working with the warehouses to gather appropriate support
◼ Create cash application reconciliations for intercompany payments
◼ Perform intercompany journal entries as per Company policy
◼ Create as needed documentation of intercompany processes and ensure documentation is current
◼ Perform, meet and respond to Sarbanes-Oxley and both internal and external audit requirements and requests, as necessary
◼ Generate internal and external reporting for intercompany
◼ Respond to team requests
◼ Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with relevant business stakeholders
Responsibilities:
Perform Global Intercompany COE responsibilities, including:
• Adhere to global intercompany governance structure, polices, and procedures
• Track and ensure completion of end to end product movement between Hershey entities
• Perform maintenance of intercompany transfer pricing master data
• Execute internal and external reporting for intercompany requests
• Complete intercompany reconciliations
• Post intercompany journal entries
Serve as global intercompany contact and subject matter expert and support company projects, as well as:
• Participate in the Intercompany business process workstream for the global SAP S/4 HANA go-live
• Leverage technology, such as Blackline Intercompany Hub, Group Reporting, SAP PRD/ARP
Perform various intercompany activities, including:
• Address the requests of internal and external auditors, including SOX
• Understand and keep abreast of advances and improvements in Blackline technology and the IC associated process by interacting with peer companies and user forums.
Minimum knowledge and skills
• Advanced Excel spreadsheet analysis capabilities
• Detailed understanding of accounting principles
• Problem solving and the ability to exercise good business judgment in a fast-paced working environment
• Very effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong ability to foster relationships with a diverse group of peers, customers, and suppliers
• Flexible and willing to adjust to a changing workload to ensure timely results
• Effective self-direction and motivation, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent general computer skills, all components of Microsoft Office, and a thorough understanding of internet browser applications and internet search skills
• Excellent skills in using relevant SAP functionality and Blackline software
• Knowledge of financial accounting and internal control concepts
• Demonstrate ability to understand and align international accounting activities with global process standardization objectives
Education
BS in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification preferred
Masters of Business Administration preferred
Experience
2+ years related accounting or tax experience
