Summary

 

This position has the responsibility to build the Hershey Brand business in Mexico in terms of Brand equity, Sales and Profit by identifying and implementing strategic business solutions that marry consumer, shopper and category insights, company competitive advantages and a realistic implementation, with strong cross-functional collaboration and a deep business understanding including Finance, Operations and Commercial

 

Strategy: Development of long-term brand strategy and annual brand marketing plans including business objectives (Sales, Profit, Share of Market) consumer and channel strategies, and translation of strategies to the consumer through all elements of the marketing mix.

 

Insight Development: Develop consumer insights through internal, external, primary and secondary data sources. Translate insights into actionable consumer-driven marketing plans. Understand and communicate the brand's unique selling propositions to key stakeholders.

 

Portfolio management: Understand and identify the right portfolio for the brand to satisfy different consumer occasions and different channel shoppers´ needs including price strategy, profitability, presentations and pack types.

 

Project Management and Execution: Manage all brand projects including, advertising, promotions, and innovation. Lead cross-functional teams giving focused direction to develop world-class programs that build equity and deliver results on time.

 

Budgeting: Own and actively manage brand marketing budget, cross-functional alignment, and end-of-year budget performance. Coordinate with Finance to research and adjust inappropriate budget entries.

            Leading action plans to reach the brand strategy committed results.

25%      Develop business solutions and action plans for the brand.

15%      Performance management activities including personal training and development

10%      Strategic and annual planning   

 

Minimum knowledge and skills

 

•           Superior strategic thinking and planning with a holistic business view (GM mindset)

•           Strong leadership skills especially with cross-functional teams, able to work, negotiate and communicate effectively with Finance, Operations and Commercial teams

•           High resilience and frustration management, feeling comfortable working with ambiguity or partial data.

•           Ability to generate impactful and focused initiatives with budget/investment constraints

•           Strong analytical skills, able to use and combine different data sources to generate business proposals, with a natural curiosity for understanding the business from the numbers

•           Strong verbal and written communicator to a wide breadth of audiences including senior management         

•           Executional excellence, being well organized accomplishing the projects on time

 

Education

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineer or similar fields.

 

Experience

 

Progression of successful accomplishments in marketing to include typically at least 1 year of experience. In general, experience in top-tier consumer products marketing companies is expected.  The ideal candidate will have market analysis experience building strong business cases, experience doing strategy & brand equity work and experience on lead action plans.
