Job Title Senior Inventory Planner

Summary

Position committed to quality and food safety carrying out activities directly and indirectly designing, developing, obtaining, manufacturing, distributing and/or selling our products to satisfy our customers and consumers.

Responsible for planning and coordinating the proper storage in Mexico of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging, ensuring to keep the QA level based on the Hershey’s regulations.

Collaborate with Planning, Customer Service, Finance, Quality, Manufacture, GMA and Procurement to balance the correct split between the warehouses to ship on time. Develop projects for savings and further implementations, using data analysis.

Work with Finance, Planning, Quality and all the 3PLs to clear DDD (Damaged, Donate, Disposal) inventory on time and properly manner in compliance with Hershey policies.

Back up position Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities:

Inventory maintenance.

Lead communication with internal stakeholders such as demand, planning, customer service, finance, quality, manufacturing, procurement, and import / export departments to improve the inventory healthy.

- Oversee inventory integrity by reviewing missing pallets and calculating the daily DDD’s amount.
- DDDs inventory management on time across all warehouse locations, ensuring the complete documentation to disposal.
- Lead slow moving forums to make decisions of the inventory maintenance to reduce the turnover.

Audits and warehouses procedures

Conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy and reliability of the inventory records and data, guaranteeing all practices align with corporate and regulatory standards and ensuring the correct configuration based on allergens and refrigerate conditions.
Active participation in the month and annually cycle counting processes, meticulously identifying, and addressing discrepancies to ensure manufacturing fulfillment accuracy at all the DC’s facilities, looking into the root cause of the discrepancies and implementing key actions to mitigate them.

Reporting

Develop forecast for overflow at the 3 DCs, internal freight circuits to manufacturing plans, external freight circuits to other DC’s.
Create and monitor daily, monthly, and yearly sales, movements, and operational efficiency reports in S4 to make strategic decisions and propose improvement projects.

Projects

Optimize storage mapping and inventory placement to improve retrieval times and reduce handling costs.
Create the KPIs warehouses dashboard and lead the key actions to improve the operation.
Analyze benefit vs cost, effort, and handling in the warehouses to migrate some customers to direct shipments.

Daily Activities

Negotiate with the manufacturing plant to ensure timely delivery of all materials needed at the production lines.
Regularly convene meetings to ensure inventory integrity and address any potential issues promptly.
Oversee all the operation on detail of the Jump warehouse and extend best practices to the 3PLs to drive the correct operation to reduce the level of rejects from the customer.

People

Lead, and monitor team of inventory planners and warehouse supervisors, maintaining oversight of their daily activities and fostering a culture of leadership and accountability.

Education

Bachelor´s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineer, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

3 – 5 years’ experience in warehouse, logistics and supply chain
