Summary
The Sr. Specialist Employee Relations International is a member of the Employee Relations Center of Excellence reporting to the Manager Employee Relations, DEI & ESG. Their primary area of responsibly will be either the Americas or APAC/AMEA geographic regions, while providing support to the U.S. as needed. The Sr. Specialist Employee Relations International will conduct Tier III investigations and Tier II escalations. In addition, they will advise, guide, and coach Hershey’s people leaders on employment matters including policy interpretation, HR procedures, employee conflicts, engaging employees, and performance management. This role will be expected to partner with HRBPs, the Legal department, as well as other stakeholders to ensure a fair and consistent approach to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Tier III investigations into alleged violations and make recommendations for remediation, while maintaining accurate and timely case files, documentation and follow up.
- Provide guidance, coaching and counseling to HR and leadership to ensure the resolution of Tier III employment-related matters.
- Provide guidance on the interpretation and administration of company policies, procedures, and programs within Tier III and Tier II escalations.
- Contribute to internal projects and workstreams as needed. Identify and recommend methods to resolve problems, update and optimize existing processes, procedures/policies, and technologies.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years progressive HR or related experience
- Fluent English speaking and writing required.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- Professional Certification in HR preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in employee and/or labor relations strategy highly preferred.
- Thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures, and knowledge of Federal and State regulations, including EEO laws and regulations preferred.
