Accountabilities
What will you do?
- Identify marketplace trends and translate them into actionable category strategies
- Develop and execute merchandising and modular strategies to support growth
- Partner with Walmart and internal stakeholders to bring category strategies to life
- Analyze retailer, syndicated, and shopper data to generate insights and recommendations
- Utilize tools such as Space Planning, Nielsen/Circana data, Tableau, and other analytics platforms
- Lead and support execution of category initiatives including relays, fixture innovation, and merchandising enhancements
- Manage multiple priorities while ensuring strong attention to detail and timelines
- Serve as a category expert, influencing decisions through data-driven storytelling
- Collaborate across teams to enhance capabilities and continuously improve processes
- Challenge the status quo and bring forward innovative ideas to drive business results
Prior Experience
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Category Management, CPG, or related field
- Experience working with syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, Luminate)
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills with ability to influence stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); experience with space planning tools is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of shopper behavior and category management principles
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
