How will you fit into the big picture?
As a critical member of the Hershey Sales team, theCustomer Sales Executive Giant Eagle will be accountable for profitably growing the portfolio, with a clear mandate to build distribution, strengthen customer partnerships and unlock new whitespace across an emerging and strategically important business.
This role requires a people-first leader who can coach and develop direct reports, set clear priorities, create accountability and build capability while also operating with an entrepreneurial mindset. The CSE will work closely with brokers, distributors, retail customers, internal cross-functional partners and key contacts within the business to align plans, accelerate execution and deliver sustainable growth.
What will you do?
Accountabilities
- Lead, coach and develop direct reports to deliver against growth, distribution, share and profitability objectives.
- Own customer and channel growth strategies for Giant Eagle, driving distribution, visibility and profitable expansion.
- Identify whitespace opportunities and translate innovative ideas into scalable commercial growth.
- Build and leverage strong partnerships with brokers, distributors and Hershey USA stakeholders to accelerate execution and business results.
- Develop and execute annual and long-term business plans supported by customer insights, syndicated data and marketplace trends.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver customer, innovation and commercial priorities while representing the business in key customer and internal forums.
Experience & Business Leadership
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience in Consumer Packaged Goods or a related commercial capacity
- People leadership experience an asset, including coaching, prioritization, performance management and development of direct reports
- Experience working with brokers, distributors, indirect sales models or multi-partner execution networks
- Strong understanding of the retail landscape, with the ability to connect customer priorities to category and brand opportunities
Analytical & Commercial Excellence
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with PowerPoint and Excel mandatory
- Interpret and translate insights into action: knowledge of Nielsen or syndicated data
- Ability to forecast demand, trade, manage supply assumptions and communicate risk in a fast-paced environment
- Persuasive selling, negotiation, presentation and written communication skills
