Summary:

As a Category Strategist, Amazon, you will be responsible for delivering The Hershey Company CMG and Protein business on Amazon.  This customer facing opportunity will help lead annual JBP negotiations, while delivering effective P&L management.  Amazon, the retailer, requires digital knowledge, problem solving, future-forward ideas, portfolio management, and organizational connectivity to win.  The person in this role will be responsible for delivering at or above the annual plan at both the top and bottom line.   

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our customer relationship with Amazon by delivering unbiased action-oriented recommendations gathered through data sources such as, but not limited to, Circana (IRI), Circana Scan Panel, Numerator Insights (Data), and Amazon Vendor Central to help both Hershey and Amazon deliver annual and long-term business objectives
  • Support the Amazon Team Lead in managing the P&L by providing analysis, insights and support to deliver the business and recommend incremental business opportunities.
  • Influence and negotiate with Amazon as a holistic advisor on the business and provide support to Hershey’s CMG & Protein businesses to navigate AVNs, JBPs, etc.
  • Identify portfolio Hershey and category opportunities leveraging 1st & 3rd party data sources and consumer insights to make internal recommendations to Sales and cross-functional partners. 
  • Collaborate with Hershey and Amazon Supply Chain to support inventory analysis and recommendations to drive the business; assist to forecast Summer ship inventory recommendations to reduce waste and drive sales.
  • Connect and share Amazon and Digital insights across internal stakeholders to recommend, support, and deliver insights to support Hershey’s long-term Omni growth.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years CPG, Marketing, Digital and/or Customer experience required.

    Extensive knowledge of tools such as, but not limited to, Circana (IRI), Circana Scan Panel, Numerator Insights (Data) with an understanding of how to turn data into valuable insights for the larger group to leverage.

  • Understanding and experience of managing the P&L and success in delivering annual plans
  • Expertise in Customer relationship management and negotiation

 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; MBA preferred
