Summary:
We’re looking for a commercially minded and data-driven Commercial Analyst to join our UK team at Hershey. This role sits at the heart of our commercial operations, improving key business trackers and reports, supporting sales with ad‑hoc analysis, and simplifying our in-market sales data into clear insights. You’ll be the main point of contact with our distributor partner on sales reporting and data excellence. The role works closely with marketing, finance, supply, insights, and innovation teams. Reporting to the UK Trade Marketing Manager, this role offers broad exposure across the business and is a great opportunity for an analytical, ambitious and action‑oriented professional eager to make an impact.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Sales Data Analysis
- Key Sales reports update & continuous optimisation. This includes but isn’t limited to the following: in £ Country Sales (ICS) monthly report, EPOS sales report, Seasonal Sales performance update, distributors’ performance tracking, in-market promotion monitoring, etc.
- Data excellence ownership and update: maintain our SKU mapping and coding up-to-date internally and externally ensuring consistent, accurate, and insightful mapping of our SKU for key reporting and analysis.
- Market performance ad-hoc analysis using available market data tools (such as Circana and Dunnhumby platforms) to run, update and optimise key reports. This requires becoming very familiar and comfortable in using the sales reports available.
- Sales Channel leads support on ad-hoc commercial requests. This includes £ICS, £TP (trade promotions) analysis, and market reviews using key retailers’ data platforms.
UK Business Review lead
- Schedule and coordinate our UK business review meeting, ensuring the process is smooth and all preparation done on time and in full.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure each session is delivering against key business objectives and teams are pre-aligned on key discussion topics.
- Own sales’ key figures that need to be reported monthly. Ensure data accuracy month on month, and year on year vs distributor’s data and internal sales’ forecast.
UK Promo Optimisation tool input & support
- Work with the dedicated IS team to implement and continuously optimise our price / promotion analysis tool.
- Ensure the project team focus on the right priorities and they deliver against key pre-aligned objectives.
Distributor’s Monthly and Quarterly Meetings support.
- Prepare and circulate template for key business reviews from distributor to Hershey team each month and each quarter.
- Update and circulate key reports ahead of such meetings to allow for data review and analysis into performance from distributor’s side.
Leadership Team updates on key in-market developments
- Own the bi-weekly communication email to the LT and SLT on key in-market changes and new activations.
Requirements:
- Education: Preferred bachelor’s degree or above holder. Preference for candidates with business degrees, but other degrees welcome too.
- Previous Experience: 1-3 years working experience (FMCG industry a plus, but not mandatory). Willing to consider graduates if they show exceptional skills and proven fast learning abilities. Must have excellent skills in Excel and Power Point.
- Desire to build a commercial career: this is an entry level role, and we’re looking for someone who can grow within our Sales or wider commercial team. A genuine interest in this career path is an important pre-requisite for this role.

- Action-oriented & proactive: this role requires the ability to work independently, often having to autonomously find better / new working practices. Proactiveness and willingness to learn are absolute must for success in this position.
- Strong analytical skills: naturally comfortable with translating complex data into actionable insights. Experience in building trackers and reports is critical.
